Best. Invention. Ever.

The brainiacs at Heinz have engineered a wonder of modern culinary excellence, and it is the new Dip & Squeeze pouch of ketchup magic. To call it a mere “packet” would undermine it’s wonderment and tarnish the glow it emits from afar off.

Who just rolls out a product like this with no fanfare?  Not Heinz!  In addition to being quite possibly the first ketchup EVER to go on tour (you read that right), the Dip & Squeeze has it’s own Twitter, facebook page and iPhone game/app!  Touch your neighbor and say, “GAME CHANGER!”

Who’s so 3008 NOW, Fergie?

No longer is the Dip & Squeeze just a dance relegated to dimly-lit high school proms and seedy backwoods juke joints while some southern hip-hop song mindlessly pops and snaps on… no… No! It shall henceforth change the way we baptize our fries and anoint our nuggets.

Where else would you be able to experience this glorious revolution of condiment awesomeness? Chick-Fil-A, a/k/a Chicken Church, of course! (SCL shout-out!)

To celebrate this accomplishment of historical proportions, Chick-Fil-A has christened Friday, March 4, 2011 as “Free Fry Day”, giving away a free medium order of Waffle Fries from 2-4 pm when you ask for Dip & Squeeze by name.

Somebody shout hallelujah and pass the waffle fries!

Are you a Dipper or a Squeezer?

The Big Christmas Music Giveaway (Updated w/ Winners!)

It’s the most wonderful time of the year!

It’s Christmastime and I’m excited to be partnering with Integrity Music to give away FIVE 3-CD Christmas Music Gift packs, each consisting of the following:

  1. Israel & New Breed “A Timeless Christmas” (my personal favorite Christmas album)
  2. Worship & Adore: A Christmas Offering” (featuring Kari Jobe, Paul Baloche, Lincoln Brewster, Vicky Beeching and many more)
  3. “A Brooklyn Tabernacle Christmas” (brand new 2010 release)

BAM! That’s A LOT of great music just in time for your holiday enjoyment and musical merriment!

Since it was originally released in 2006, Israel & New Breed’s “A Timeless Christmas” has been at the top of my list of favorite Christmas albums.  It’s lively, festive, worshipful and an all-around musical tour-de-force unlike anything else I’ve heard. In fact, it has the distinction of being the ONLY Christmas album that I actually listen to throughout the entire year.  It’s that good.  Here’s just a little taste of “A Timeless Christmas”, with one of my favorite tracks… “Hark! (featuring Matthew West)”

The Social Network

Perhaps this will further solidify my geek status to some of you, but I CAN’T WAIT to see The Social Network, the upcoming film directed by David Fincher about the founding of facebook and the pop culture phenomenon it created.

The film releases October 1 and features an ensemble cast including Justin Timberlake (as founding President of facebook and creator of Napster, Sean Parker), Rashida Jones, Jesse Eisenberg (as facebook founder Mark Zukerberg), Andrew Garfield and more. Interestingly enough, the film that chronicles the inception of facebook won’t be advertised on the social network itself.  More info on the film, cast, filming, background and more can be found on The Film Stage and the film’s official Wikipedia page.

The trailer just released today and it is DOPE!

Not only do I want to see this film badly, but how about that A-FREAKING-MAZING choral version of Radiohead’s “Creep”!!! Dang! I’ve watched this trailer 5 times just to hear the song!

#geekstatus

Don’t judge me. :D

Are you looking forward to seeing this film?
